The USD was slightly stronger overnight versus most currency pairs after yesterdays broad based weakness. The strength was most prevalent versus the AUD ( .8790 /-0.29%) after the Bureau of Statistics in Australia announced that there will be revisions to the July and August employment statistics to remove seasonal adjustments. The net effect, likely to have a negative effect on the previously released employment figures. Tonight also brings the release of the Australian September employment figures. After the recent, pronounced strength in the USD ( which has taken net speculative USD positions to record highs as reported by the CFTC), the market will be looking to the release ( 2pm EST) of the September FOMC minutes  for further support of its hawkish interpretation after last months meeting and press conference.
